If you are from my generation or older, that might ring nostalgic. Ah,Life Cereal, I grew up on it! My Mom bought Honey Nut Cheerios and Life Cereal, and that was it! I felt so deprived that we only got to eat the “healthy” cereals in the morningwhile all of my friends were eating Lucky Charms and Cap’n Crunch.

Turns out that the cereal we were eating was not all that healthy anyway. It was still loaded with grains and sugar, both of which are inflammatory and cause spikes (and then crashes) in blood sugar. Not the best way to start the day, especially for developing brains and little growing bodies.

Not that my Mom was not well intended, I do appreciate the efforts she made to feed us healthy foods, as it inspired me to do the same in my adult life. But, I really want to help my kids enjoy a healthy breakfast that also sets them up for a great day! In all of my research online and in the blogosphere, I came across some great recipes! I wanted to put them all into one place so I could share them with you, and make it easy for breakfast to be a healthy experience.

These recipes are (for the most part) grain-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free. Feel free to adjust them to your tastes and dietary restrictions. We personally eat very few, if any grains. We also only use raw dairy. Sugar is a no-no, but other healthy sweeteners are used in moderation.

I still think it’s important to keep breakfast fun, so that’s why you will see recipes here like donuts and waffles. Not to worry, these are healthy versions of those treats! I give you65+ Paleo Breakfast Recipes For Kids! You can go two whole months without ever repeating a recipe!
