I remember being little and thinking that this dish was the bomb.com. Yes I said bomb.com. But come on I was a kid and loved tuna casserole. Fast forward 10 years and still till this day it reminds me of home.

When I got married I remembering asking my mom for the recipe. Her response was“Honey it’s just egg noodles, tuna cans, cream of mushroom soup and ruffles chips. Mix, bake and your set. Oh don’t forget the side of sliced tomatoes.” Okay, that seemed easy enough. So I set out to make it.

I made it that wayfor years, but then I changed thesoup mixtures, added more vegetables and added in some french onions. Now I think my tuna casserole is the adult version of bomb.com. But no matter what I add or take away from this recipe, it will always remind me of home. Do you have afavorite childhood dish?

Next time you’repressed for time, or just need something quick to throw together, make this recipe. It takes minutes to throw together and tastes amazing! Oh and don’t forget the side of sliced tomatoes to go with it. If you are feeling adventurous too, sprinkle some sugar on top of the tomatoes. Sounds funny I know, but it’s so good. Seriously the best!

I have never been a big fan of tuna, but my 9 year old loves it. I will have to make this for him one of these days. He will love the potato chips in there too!

I love tuna casserole! I hardly ever had it growing up because my mom didn’t like tuna, so whenever I had the chance to have it, I gobbled it down. You are reminding me that it’s been way too long since I’ve made it. Love this dish, Cyndi! I think I know what I’m making for dinner this weekend!

I haven’t had tuna casserole in ages! My mom would make it about twice a month for quick and easy dinners. And I always enjoyed it. But we NEVER had chips on top and OH MY GOSH I need that crunch right now!

I have a big soft spot for tuna noodle casserole! And the potato chips on top are a big must! I’m not sure if I had this too much growing up but my husband loves it and he requests it often!

My childhood favorite is mac and cheese…I always hated the breadcrumbs on top when I was a kid but these days they’re my favorite part! Funny how comfort food seems like the childhood hero. Looks delish!

I grew up eating lots of tuna casserole too, my mom always made it with Kraft dinner and mushroom soup, and bread crumbs on top. Loved that dish. I haven’t yet made it for my kids though so I think I need to try this! It looks amazing!
